Hello! My name is Joe. I am an AI Performance Engineer.

I take optimization techniques and achieve better efficiencies on hardware, software, and models. For example, I often take recent performance papers and apply them on servers to produce findings.

The reports, benchmarks, and reproducible code are here on the website. The goal is to provide a transparent, end-to-end process detailing imperfect thoughts with disclosures on human and AI usage. For instance, this about page was written and edited by a human (me) with no AI assistance. Certain articles are going to use Speech to Text to save time with human editing. Prototyping the code will get me 70 % the way there with 30 % human tuning. This level of clarity will be revealed upfront on top like this page.

Ultimately, we live in the age of AI Slop. There are countless examples of “I tune this to get 30x throughput” only to be unoriginal, recycled material with no evidence using Vibe Coding. I hope to do something transparent here.

AI has immense potential. I hope to reveal trade-offs taken in order to achieve that potential.
